So I tried this download trick with my banned switch and it wouldnt let me update my download progress. I'm definetly not cdn banned because I just get the error code 2124-4007.
If you wanna be specific...
- As stated before, one user was banned for using a GBA emulator and clearing error logs on 5.X, the latter of which is highly unrecommended
- Outside of using .XCI files online, there have been a few banned for using them by updating them online in OFW. These users range from having AutoRCM to not but updating .XCI games in OFW is not considered safe. However, keeping your .XCI games offline has not led to a ban yet
- For .NSP content, one user was miraculously banned for only installing one .NSP file without connecting to the Internet meaning he didn't wipe the content nor the ticket. The fake ticket is most likely what caused his ban when he went online
- LayeredFS ranges from erroneous error codes to generating mismatches in save data. Most of the users who were banned for using it did it in order to enjoy piracy which should lead to a ban
- The two users banned for using ChoiDujourNX to update to firmware 6.0 had other risk factors such as AutoRCM and other homebrew used both offline and online however updating to a firmware that is not available on a cart before connecting online is one of the biggest red flags to me
Reviewing the data and what I just said, you notice a weird trend I'm guessing? Users who updated their .XCI files and the two who were banned for using ChoiDujourNX to update to firmware 6.0 used AutoRCM in some way. Now while AutoRCM may have contributed to their bans, nobody was banned for using AutoRCM alone. Why? Maybe Nintendo cannot detect AutoRCM alone or those with only AutoRCM installed have been lucky at avoiding being banned. The point is its too soon to say you can be banned for using AutoRCM alone. Not to mention that people have been banned without AutoRCM so its not a definitive factor. The data is clearly lacking this regard and makes the assumption that the more hacks you add, the higher your chances of being banned become. And as noted by @TunaKetchup , he updates all of his .XCI games without AutoRCM enabled. Coincidence? It is a bit soon to tell but this is the only conclusion I can draw for now.
I think the general trend is that they will only ban for something that 100% cannot happen during normal operation.
So it MIGHT be possible (even if highly unlikely), like if your battery is faulty and causes a power interruption during that or something. So they won't ban for it.BOOT0 has content that gets updated with every Horizon boot.
LuciodragonIf your console is clean....
Otherwise restore rawnand.bin
You can update ofw 6.0 ( on nintendo servers)
No clean backup of your nand, no solution without ban ( for internet subscribtion )
No, you will obviously be banned.Like i said, just used sx pro for xci games, no nsp, no auto rcm, and always on airplane mode and i'm currently on 5.1.0.
Can you be a little more specific on the homebrew you used?
So why don't you just ask for a replace unit at the place you bought you switch ? You would get unbanned, and the new Switch wont be broken. Most resellers don't know about Switch Bans, so they'll give you a new switch. If this is against the law in your country, please don't do this and sorry for my bad english.I updated my post.
Edit: By the way I think my switch not only got banned, it's also broken. It crashes when I go into parental control settings. It also freezes with black screen after I turn it off. Joycons are still able to connect to the console in that state. After I hold power button for 10 secons, it completely shuts down along with joycons. This also happened when it restarts after updating to 6.0. Weird.
Edit 2: I realized that this happens only when connected to internet. Is this related to my ban? Is anyone banned also experiencing something like this?

So now that emunand is out with SX OS 2.0 I am a little concerned with its implementation. According to TX: "With SX OS EmuNAND your EmuNAND partition lives inside of your regular NAND."
Since the emunand is itself within the sysnand rather than on an SD card, do you guys think that that could lead to possible detection by Nintendo?
Unfortunately, their emunand is very easily detected if any error report is sent, and nand restore/backup has been possible with hekate.SX updated their OS to version 2.0 and added tons of new tools! Like, for example Emunand, easy backup and restore of NAND backup. Could it be what we have been waiting for?

Of course it will guarantee an immediate red flag.It may have already been asked but do you think that playing a game before its release (like a week before) via SX OS offline can result to a ban Because of the game switch history ?
Maybe but not as likely as you would tend to believe. I played both Pokemon Sun/Moon as well as Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon before their release dates while never wiping my play history. If I recall correctly, the only people banned for playing those before release also went online. At the very least, a manual check would have to be done to see when the playtime started in comparison to its release date which sounds tedious what with millions upon millions of users to check. It may have already been asked but do you think that playing a game before its release (like a week before) via SX OS offline can result to a ban Because of the game switch history ?
I most definitely have to start asking if people are using this. However while I have not fully read up on their EmuNAND, it not only seems dangerous from a banning perspective (splitting the NAND?), but it also seems like it may brick the console (seriously, splitting the NAND?)Yes, Nintendo can detect a reduction in Nand size so you will get banned for using this """"""""""""emunand""""""""""""""
@Draxzelex maybe add TX Emunand Y/N question? Curious to find out how fast people are going to get banned
