For each category in the spreadsheet, there should be a total number of people who had that on their switch... for example if 10 people out of 20 had autorcm enabled, then at the bottom you could put 10/20. Simple for calculating what might be the biggest cause of bans.
I suck at Excel and Google Spreadsheet so if I knew how to input automatic formulas that would do such things, I'm implement them :P (if you know where I can look, that would be appreciated)

Why cant people just add it themselves? if your affected add 1, if not dont... simple!

If your console is clean....
Otherwise restore rawnand.bin
You can update ofw 6.0 ( on nintendo servers)
No clean backup of your nand, no solution without ban ( for internet subscribtion )
Like i said, just used sx pro for xci games, no nsp, no auto rcm, and always on airplane mode and i'm currently on 5.1.0.

Because, uh, I'm the only one with permission to edit the Spreadsheet. Chaos would ensue if I let the public edit it not to mention that I can review people's answers to see if they lied didn't answer a certain question or questions appropriately. Unless you mean to add a +1 to a constant number at the end.

Ok then, I shall start the research train

...how do you auto set the cell to red or green depending on the response?

I use conditional formatting to detect certain responses. For example if the box is exactly "Y" it'll be a certain color. Same thing if the text is only "N". Not all columns are as simple as that but that's generally how it goes.

Whelp. It finally happened. I'm extremely surprised it took this long lol

I been saying this a while but I recommend removing your SD card and turning off Auto RCM when going into OFW

I noticed a lot of people have been getting banned in the past couple days

I updated my console last night to check if I was banned and I'm not. I just checked again and still not banned.

You should be able to use the following equation: " =COUNTIF(B:B,"N") ". This says that the number in this cell should be equal to the number of "N"'s in column B

Now all we need is someone unbanned to update without burning fuses via the "risky method" (i.e. insert jig and hold vol+ while rebooting) and another banwave, so that we can see if having a mismatched fuse count is also bannable now. :P

I have a switch that I bought with 5.0.2, did a full backup right away. I don't remember the exact sequence, but at some point I let SX OS online to activate, and also let it update to 5.1.0 (to get exfat update). One of the three switches was online enough to download an update to an xci (there was no nsp support at the time), but I don't remember if it was this one. Anyway, after the initial setup I completely disabled wifi (mostly kept in airplane mode, plus had no wifi connections saved). Played with some homebrew, xci files, installed nsps, but Nintendo shouldn't know about this. Couple weeks ago I restored the backup and was surprised to see it on 5.0.2 (apparently I forgot I didn't start on 5.1.0). I performed a factory reset, then let it update to 5.1.0. I ran SX OS purely to load xcis of legit cartridge backups (with unique certificate) and also used Checkpoint to restore save files for Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I went online while in SX OS 1.9 and played Mario Kart 8. I did accidentally go into eshop at least once on SX OS (meant to press the Album icon, but hit the eshop one instead). I also let the OFW install updates to games that had been played (as xci) in SX OS 1.9.

About a day after 6.0 was officially released, I updated exactly how you described. First, I "think" I had AutoRCM off. I was definitely booted into OFW. It automatically downloaded the update. Had the jig and dongle in, told it to install, and waited for it to be finished. Pressed the volume up button (kept it depressed, obviously) until it rebooted into the SX OS bootloader screen. Now, at this point I selected OFW, but got a black screen. I read somewhere that it needed to boot into CFW at least once, so after letting it sit on the black screen for a minute I hard powered down, powered back up, enabled AutoRCM, then booted into CFW. Another reboot later I was in OFW 6.0. I've gone online with Fortnite, checked eshop, but have NOT played any games with SX OS. I'm waiting until they release a new version after the official 6.0 firmware was released (and will wait a day or two to see if there's any major issues).

TL;DR: I have a switch that upgraded the official way from 5.1.0 to 6.0 but still has a fuse count of 6 (just verified via hekate). AutoRCM enabled, so far no ban.

after 102 pages has anyone gathered this data and analyzed it and gotten anywhere?

It seems like you just get banned for doing anything.
Bans can be categorized as such:
  1. Clearing error logs on firmware 5.X + GBA emulator (one report)
  2. Using .NSP, .XCI, or LayeredFS
  3. Updating to firmware 6.0 using ChoiDujourNX (two reports)

Wait... im literally upgrading to 6.0.0 using ChoiDujourNX right now. Damn good timing m8

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also I see that your adding my suggestion (im flattered :) ), but you should make the next row after the number to say something like "out of XXX" reports". This can be used to count the number of nonblank spaces in a row "
=COUNTA(B:B)" where "B" is the column and bla bla you get the point.

I just was testing to see how it worked. Going to have to play it around with it, maybe move the placing (bottom is going to make adding new rows a nightmare), and work on the conditional formatting. As you can see, one of the columns caused it to change color. I am thankful for your suggestion but please give me sometime to properly implement it.

But there's no way to differentiate the individual causes. No one has done just one thing. Why would someone update using choi if they hadn't already dinner sometime

If you wanna be specific...
  • As stated before, one user was banned for using a GBA emulator and clearing error logs on 5.X, the latter of which is highly unrecommended
  • Outside of using .XCI files online, there have been a few banned for using them by updating them online in OFW. These users range from having AutoRCM to not but updating .XCI games in OFW is not considered safe. However, keeping your .XCI games offline has not led to a ban yet
  • For .NSP content, one user was miraculously banned for only installing one .NSP file without connecting to the Internet meaning he didn't wipe the content nor the ticket. The fake ticket is most likely what caused his ban when he went online
  • LayeredFS ranges from erroneous error codes to generating mismatches in save data. Most of the users who were banned for using it did it in order to enjoy piracy which should lead to a ban
  • The two users banned for using ChoiDujourNX to update to firmware 6.0 had other risk factors such as AutoRCM and other homebrew used both offline and online however updating to a firmware that is not available on a cart before connecting online is one of the biggest red flags to me

What about AutoRCM? To me it just seems mixed...

Reviewing the data and what I just said, you notice a weird trend I'm guessing? Users who updated their .XCI files and the two who were banned for using ChoiDujourNX to update to firmware 6.0 used AutoRCM in some way. Now while AutoRCM may have contributed to their bans, nobody was banned for using AutoRCM alone. Why? Maybe Nintendo cannot detect AutoRCM alone or those with only AutoRCM installed have been lucky at avoiding being banned. The point is its too soon to say you can be banned for using AutoRCM alone. Not to mention that people have been banned without AutoRCM so its not a definitive factor. The data is clearly lacking this regard and makes the assumption that the more hacks you add, the higher your chances of being banned become. And as noted by @TunaKetchup , he updates all of his .XCI games without AutoRCM enabled. Coincidence? It is a bit soon to tell but this is the only conclusion I can draw for now.
