The MIG is a game cart that allows you to play pirated software without having to open the Switch console.
It is more convenient than having to install a modchip internally.
But you don't get all these special feature to avoid getting banned like with a Picofly/HWFly modchip.

If you go online with pirated software, you will risk getting banned because Nintendo does seem to be able to detect that you're using a MIG.
There are reports of users getting banned with using backups from your own games on a Switch2.
So the conclusion is that the MIG is not a device with which you can play pirated games online safely either.

Or get a V1 for less than what the MIG costs.
