    Read it again.

    • Added the option to turn on/off the system button input (Nintendo Switch Lite only).
    • When this setting is turned off the system no longer receives input from the console buttons, with the exception of the Capture and HOME Buttons, and can only be operated from a wirelessly paired controller (sold separately).
    • This setting is on by default and can only be turned off if a compatible controller (sold separately) is wirelessly paired to the console.
    • The setting will automatically turn back on when the console is restarted or after returning from sleep mode.

Leaving the system buttons on does *not* disable the ability to use Joy-Cons. I'm not sure how you'd get that from what's listed here.

Wait, they actually put out an update with helpful changes. I guess they realize the chat feature on the phone and mostly playing with strangers prevents you from just calling someone up and saying join me.

dont play on a patch day! never update a running system

when the devs like from tesla energy products make a huge mistake in a update. you are screwed and you have to call them for a downgrade
better dont play on a patch day

What's to say you couldn't use, say, the S Pen that comes with the Galaxy Note 10 with the Switch? It's actually something I'm gonna try right now that the idea crossed my mind! ;)

I remember the time when consoles never updated but worked great... At least no one bothered and nagged me to update everytime i connect to the internet, not to mention some consoles don't even ask, they just do so you need to wait.
Not just consoles, every new device.

As much as i i thought thats a good thing that much it gets annoying.

The amount of time we spend updating consoles and such, and medling with them can easily render updates as games to play with. not verry interesting but games. After update you say..oh man, that was fun one hour update, ill play it again tomorrow! xD

    :)

If you have emunand and not patched Switch, you can upgrade sysnand if you want. Just don't upgrade emunand.
