Im sure the OG Pro controller will work for the Switch 2, as for the SD card, I have like 3 512 that i use with my Ally X.
I am very curious as how games like Elden Ring or Cyberpunk will run on the new hardware and how long the battery will be.

You need MicroSD express mentioned in the Nintendo direct not the regular micro SD card.

The system has not come out yet and you are already complaining that it doesn't have any new games.
Dude if your plan is to hack it and pirate games just get a steam deck or another handheld computer.
Why complain about something that is not an issue yet since it isn't even out to begin with.

The point is that I want new Nintendo first party titles and we are not getting any.
It takes Nintendo 8 to 10 years to release games for their major franchises after they are announced see BOTW and MP4
There will be no new first party games for the major Nintendo franchises for the system until their next gen system is out so this ring is DOA.
They should have just marked it as the switch pro and not a successor if they didn't plan on developing any new exclusive games for it besides MK world.
This is not a new generation it's just a pro version of the current generation despite the higher specs, it means fuckall if they don't bother to develop games to take advantage of the new hardware.
This is the "new 3DS"situation all over again only worse.
If they had even announced an OOT remake for $80 for the Zelda anniversary I probably would have still got it but they gave us literally nothing and no hope of anything anytime in the remote future

Express Sd cards are not supported in the Rog Ally.

I thought sd express cards were fully backwards compatible so they should still work in the Rog Ally.

I'm not happy with the price but honestly, getting a day one just incase there's a hardware exploit found again lol. Although, I'm assuming Nintendo have done a lot more to fend off hackers this time round. The Switch 1 was a mess for hacking (on Nintendo's end)

Yes they will work, but you won't get the faster read/write speeds, so no purpose of buying/ using more expensive Express cards in an unsupported device, when standard SD cards are much cheaper.

Aaaaand this is the reason they keep getting away with it and that the rest of us can't have nice things.
They are never going to develop new first party games when they can just keep selling you new hardware for you to keep playing the old titles with slight improvements that you will just pay for again and again.

That's the point precisely, Nintendo is not comparing itself to its "competitors" (more like copy-cats I'd say, and even more that Sunny of a Beach).

Nintendo's doing things on his own way, or they would've released a very diferent console to "compete" against.

I'd say Nintendo's philosophy is "If it works, don't fix it", something can't be said by their copy-cats. Or they won't be closing dev studios or selling overpriced hardware image scalers.

I also don't like the pricing, like everyone else here. People didn't even get used to $70 games yet and Nintendo's already trying it with $80 in America and $90 in Europe. Insane.

Mixed feelings about the SDe cards. On one hand, it's great to see actual adoption of the new standard, I was fairly sure that the SDe standard would go the way of Beta/HD-DVD, maybe with sporadic usage in professional cameras. This new standard also has NOT yet been adopted by the Chinese counterfeiters who deliberately misrepresent small SD cards as large sizes.

On the other hand, they're four times the price of classic SD cards, and we're going to have to buy new cards instead of just reusing them from older devices.

The have 2 versions. 1st is region locked to Japan only, this is the cheaper version. 2nd is the international version, this is what will be available worldwide. The 1st version is catering to Japanese market only, because how weak the yen is right now. As for the rest of the world, it's a huge shit sandwich that we're all gonna to take a bite out of it if you want to jump on the S2. Also nothing is going to stop you from importing one. Keep in mind that everything will be in Japanese and you're locked into JAP only games and E-shop. This is what a lot of people don't understand.
