Im sure the OG Pro controller will work for the Switch 2, as for the SD card, I have like 3 512 that i use with my Ally X.
I am very curious as how games like Elden Ring or Cyberpunk will run on the new hardware and how long the battery will be.

No, standard sd cards will not work, must be Express sd cards. Rog Ally does not support Express sd cards. Yes OG controllers will work, but without the added features (example: Chat button, bottom triggers, etc)

The Steam Deck probably won’t be able to run Switch 2 games since it already has trouble with Switch 1 games (see TOTK). And it will likely take more than 12 months before there’s a working emulator for the Switch 2.

Interesting point about the Japan Switch 2.

They're selling two versions due to the yen being cheap now. One is fully region locked and only in Japanese for 49,980 yen ($330). You can get the international one for 69,980 yen ($468). It's to stop scalpers buying the switch 2 in Japan at a much cheaper price and selling it overseas. Most Japanese people don't care about the inability to play games from other regions, and most people only want their OS in Japanese. So that version will sell well.

Pretty smart, but kind of annoying also.

Kind of annoying we're back to square one with SD card pricing again. We were able to get 1TB for under $100. Now we're back to 256GB for about the same price.

No way they can hold these prices over time compared to their competitors. I mean a Nintendo is nice to have for a fun gaming session but I cant consider it as a gaming experience like PS, so not sure about the target audience

I say they're keeping the price high to start so they can continue to sell the Switch and claim the all time sales crown. I expect a price cut sometime after that maybe in 2026.

Everyone complaining about prices, yes it's bad but not the main issue, I was planning on buying it for when it gets hacked and I can just sail the seven seas but no there will be no games.
The biggest problem is that switch 2 has ZERO games besides MK world.
They expect us to pay $450 for the system and 89-90 for 10 year old games.
MP4 was announced at switch 1 launch and it's still not available for switch 1 yet and won't be until switch 2 is in stores.
They didn't even announce any ANY new first party games for their major franchises NONE, no Zelda, no Mario no Metroid not even KI , smash NOTHING!
So we can assume they will not have ANY games for this POS and that they just expect us to pay to play the same games over with slightly better frames and resolution.
Even if they did announce new first party games they likely wouldn't even be completed until after switch 3 is launched so this is a completely lost generation.
Hardly any 3rd party announcements either , no RE, no mega man nothing
Nintendo first party titles are what sells Nintendo consoles and that is what builds a user base and that user base is what entices 3rd party developers to develop for the system.
This console is already DOA
There will be little adoption because of the ridiculous prices and 100% lack of new first party exclusives.

The system has not come out yet and you are already complaining that it doesn't have any new games.
Dude if your plan is to hack it and pirate games just get a steam deck or another handheld computer.

Express Sd cards are not supported in the Rog Ally. I think you are mistaken about your 512gb cards. They are different than the standard sd cards and not cheap, around $70 for 256gb. They look like this:
