Hi

My 2 kids have a switch each and are keeping on at me to get them an online account.

Does anyone know if i can i get a single online account that they can both use or do they need 1 each?

Thanks

You can indeed use one account across two consoles, but it'd just be one profile. If you want each kid to have their own individual profiles, and have access to online, you'd need to get two separate online accounts.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a family subscription over two separate accounts.
You can add individual accounts to the family subscription.

If you go for only one online account, then only one of your kids can play that account at a given time. They won't be able to play together at the same time unless they get online both of them.

This is what OP should do, just go with the family plan. It's still really cheap for the yearly subscription. And it will cause a lot less headaches. I tried the single account thing with my kids and gave it up after about a week and just got the family account.

Only thing I had to do was go and create and link their accounts to Nintendo accounts instead of being offline accounts.

yeah get the family plan because some games only allow 1 save file per account and sharing game saves is no fun Because they will both missed things in the game that the other kid already played through
