Of course not... I see your point but this question is kinda... dumb. Nintendo doesnt make a lot of games for DS, but still they do. And pretty good ones. Actually, every game they do for DS is great. IMO.

Are you saying my question is dumb? My question is just a little out of curiosity.

Yes that is what I am saying. Do you really think Nintendo will stop to make games one day???
Just think back what they did this year. I think, then, your answer will be very clear!

There can be MANY reasons why Nintendo would stop making games, now would they?

Yes of course they would because Nintendo hates money and has too much of it. That's it! No more games! We are drowning in currency!

Oh, come on. The question wasn't whether or not Nintendo has stopped making games, it was whether or not they've stopped making games for DS. And the answer is obviously no, because they just released Zelda last week. But it does seem like they've been slowing down. Of course they'll stop making games for DS someday, and I don't think anyone can deny that the DS is getting, shall we say, "long in the tooth". It makes perfect sense for them to release a new iteration of their existing handheld to buoy up sales of their aging platform while they prepare for the next big thing.

They wouldn't bring out a big game like Spirit Tracks and a new version of their handheld if they were going to dump the system for something else next month, but the fact remains that they will dump it eventually. That's just business. That day it getting closer and closer all the time. I would be surprised if they were not working on games for their next handheld right now.

They've slowed down making them to make their games better. We got Spirit Tracks recently, and we have HeartGold and SoulSilver coming soon too. They're focusing on quality instead of quanity now, I think. Plus, they've been making a lot of DSiWare too. Gotta remember that too.

yeah, they sold less DSi's than they expected too (still an absolute heap though) and as they are trying to get for DSiWare out there to help sell the device
