What exactly do you mean by this?

Anyway, I thought the prices was far to begin with.

Why? They could have thought/made a decision to no 3D classics and went the lazy way.

i have been collecting and enjoying 3d since i saw a 3d movie at disney world when i was a kid. i've been on the hunt for any 3d subject matter since the early 80s. when the 3ds came out i was very excited for it. at this point it is more of a gimmick. games do not need to be played in 3d. the 3d screen has a sweet spot that only works best for me when i'm sitting down with my arms elevated in the air. this is a very uncomfortable gaming position for the long term, further making it more of a gimmick for me. the 3ds e3 trailers all had ghosting when i viewed them, making it a gimmick or something i don't need and is not required. the re-release of classic games in 3d without additional elements that make use of the 3d, yet another gimmick.

virutal boy ports (and unreleased games) are a no brainer, yet there are no plans to release anything to the eshop. while i'll be the first to admit most of the generation 1 software (released before the virtual boy was discontinued) use scailing and graphic tricks to "enhance" the 3d, they still managed to make the playing field "3d". mario clash, red alarm, bounce, teleroboxer, etc, would not be the same game without the 3d and 3d-perspective. i am still waiting for this type of experience on the 3ds.

i know my response to your question sounds really negative. i want it known that i enjoy the 3ds, i have high hopes for it, but at this point it is very underutilized. i know it is still early but until they really start to produce some "3d is part of the game play" type games (like the upcoming uncharted 3 for ps3), i'll continue to see my 3ds as an expensive gimmick. well, at least until its hacked for homebrew. =P

The biggest problems of 3DS 3d are the narrow viewing angle and the tiny screen. I really think, once these two problems are solved by another game company, 3D will finally take off.

Nintendo has a history of being a trailblazer in new gaming trends, but failing to perfect them.

(ex. N64 analog controller < Playstation Dualshock and Wiimote < Kinect & Move)

Perhaps they should fore-go the redoing of the graphics themselves. They basically recoded Excitebike from scratch and made the backgrounds take on a pseudo-polygonal look. Instead, just add depth between layers, that would be fine. I want to see some SNES games with layering depth.

thats a solution but the gameplay changes with the graphics. they want the same gameplay but 3d graphics. u cant have both legs in the air u know.

you can if you are sitting down -trollface-

...i kid i kid....

I'm all for playing my favorite classics in a new dimension, but people are just gonna turn off the 3D anyway, myself included. Really not worth all this trouble if it's not done right.

Although a 3D Mega Man collection would make my heart bleed.

No! I'm saying it looks like eventually Nintendo will drop the 3d classics after a small amount of them because of the difficulty involved with them. Thus they never should of promised 3d classics. What they should of done was released 3d excitebike as 3dsware with no talk of 3d classics. Why promise something you either can't deliver on or will stop supporting early in the life cycle of the system? Sony did the latter with other os and look how bad that turned out.

Yes, but they never said they was going to stop making them. You giving them the worst case scenario.

I didn't remember anytime they stop support of something of their new devices.

Other OS was taken away altogether, I doubt Nintendo would do that.
