Hacking Nintendo 2ds with 6.3.0-12U

Just picked up a 2ds off of craigslist, wondering if any 3ds rom cards like r4 or gateway work properly with this sytem/firmware or if i should just update it for now and wait for the next updated card

You can currently play DS Games using the secondary chip found with 3DS chip packages, but other than that for 3DS games you are out of luck.
