Why is it always about HD nice quality ect

If I had a Ps3 or xBox I would be bored in about 3 minutes because the only fun games on the ps 3 and xbox are Call of duty or Helo the rest of those games are all fighting games and are bored.

The Wii has medium quality(DS has bad), more games to choose of, better gameplay so why is everybody saying the wii sucks... even the name is better ^^ Wii (we) as together with friends and family

360: Halo Reach, Super Street Fighter IV, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, Banjo Kazooie, Bomberman Live, Pac Man CE, etc...
PS3: Super Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid IV, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, A.C.E. R, Pac Man CE, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Little Big Planet, etc...

I own all 4 consoles (Wii, 360, PS3, Awesome PC) and both handhelds (DS, PSP) and I have to say, they're all pretty good in their own ways. I despise the CoD franchise and the FF franchise (Go ahead, flame me), And I still manage to get some awesome use out of all my consoles.

I bought my PS3 recently, and it's a nice system. 1080p is really nice when gaming, really easy on the eyes, but it isn't necessary. So what if the Wii has no HD? Should that prohibit it's games being good? Mario Galaxy looked FUCKING AMAZING! in 480p! I'm pretty sure that's one good example.

Seriously, stop hating on the consoles. Why can't people just accept what they have and stop hating on the rest?

I play more with my old consoles (PS1/2, Dreamcast) than with my PS3. Yes HD is cool, but it's like everything new : it blows your mind the first times, and loses it's interest after. The principal goal for a console is fun and sometimes, they forget it. The only game I really had fun with was Metal Gear Solid 4, and it was more for the scenario than the game itself (I'm a MGS lover).

And HD doesn't mean beautiful. Look at games like Muramasa or Fragile Dreams on Wii. For me they're are far more beautiful than a Call of Duty or Halo.

Despite both offerings being shitty, Nintendo managed to turn out a large profit and also redefined the market for casual gaming.

Even though I've lost all faith in Nintendo's ability to make core gaming hardware/software, I can't help but be impressed by all they've achieved over the past few years.

Hopefully the next generation of Nintendo's consoles won't be such a disappointment to the majority regarding game exclusives/broadness in genre, and regarding their capabilities (judging from the previews of the 3DS gaming my sister's been showing me recently and ofcourse the 3D gaming without eye strain).
