is it possible to jailbreak you ps3 using a usb stick or install a backup loader ion it and play games using usb hardrive like done on the wii...........?

you still need a ps3 jailbreak usb pen to first jailbreak ps3
and then use another usb pendrive to store games inside, but keep in mind some games as god of war III need 40GB so... you should need a 64 gb pendrive!!!
maybe 2.5" usb external hard disk is more cheaper

Please read our FAQ section on this information. To reiterate:

You CANNOT use a regular USB stick to jailbreak your PS3.

You can use a USB stick to store programs and games, but you still need a dedicated device, whether commercial or one of the many PSGroove implementations, to jailbreak the PS3.

Our FAQ section also has a list of devices that can be used to jailbreak a PS3. Specific iPhone and iTouch devices are possible since they can be hacked to run Android.
