Here's a project from a friend, spectroplasm, (and great designer btw). Keep reading.

spectroplasm has been working on the Gamecube Wii Emulator
(open sources here, credits to original authors of this; F|RES, ector, zerofrog, yaz0r and tmbinc),
but with a different view.

On his own words, "my aim for this emu is to make changes to the GFX DX9 and GFX OpenGL drivers of the emu and releasing them with the sources

So far I'm working on the OpenGL version of the plugin driver and I am able to tweak the code to get some extra speed out of it. So far I'm working on a branch off the svn sources build version 1210."

You can see the framerate at the top of the window. (Up to 192fps!!)

So, to sum up, a nice project that i hope that will end up with great results!
(I'll try to hope ya on opengl spec xD)

It's real, Dolphin has had Wii support for quite some time now.

we all know this gets updated, about 3 times a week, it cant play any games .......yet, it can load a few wii intros then it crashes! so somethings "iffy" with them vids

I thought Could only load the intros to. And also, these wii games are running in pretty much full speed right? Gamecube games dont run in full speed with dolphin yet though do they?

Correct me if im wrong though. This seems very intresting.

yes again, its bullshit, i get notified of dolphin soon as a new update is out, and we all know it cannot get past intro screens on wii games, so i suggest you go and give that fanny basher some abuse!

Er, actually, I played a couple of Wii games on an emu just for fun a few weeks ago and I could run them at full speed.

forgive me if im gettin this wrong here but im reading this thread as a Nintendo Wii emulator not an emulator running ON A Wii!!


with DOLPHIN being a GAMECUBE emulator ..which kinda defeats the object when the Wii already plays gamecube does it not !?

anyone else read this as a Wii emulator like you would emulate other consoles on pc etc!?

yeah dolphin is a gamecube emulator for pc, with wii support ...(now, well has been for a while)
But it only loads wii intros and then bam crash.

I honestly don't remember. I think it was called Dolphin something. I was just bored at the time and needed something to do when I came across a Wii emulator for PC. Then I just started playing Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 just for the hell of it.

And yet another known fact is that Dolphin CAN run near (or even at) full speed with a fast pc.

Dolphin can run Gamecube and Wii games !! Its a fact !

Just check Emuforums.com for the latest news on Dolphin or if you want to know about the latest SVN's check code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/list

There is a compatibility list on Emuforums on one topic and there are lots of Wii games that run and are fully playable.

Ignorance can't be a blessing cause there is so much of it on this thread XD

No-one's been keeping track of Dolphin I see. These videos are 100% legit, posted by the authors of the emu.
You can go to the Dolphin forum and download these compiled SVNs shown in the video, and you too will be able to play those games. Amazing stuff, and it's damn hard to believe Wii support is so good so quickly, but it's 100% real.

who cares anyway who wants to play a wii on a shitty 19-21" moniter when you can play on a 60" plasma! i know what i'd rather. plus you need a god damn super computer to play it so i'll use a real wii anyday.
