Homebrew New to this forum, and also need some help about Loader GX

Hello, My name is Jackson, nice to meet everyone here!

I am new to this forum, and also love playing games every day. However, recently I have some issues with my Wii Mod. I did follow all guides from Youtube and this forum. The Wii can play the GameCube game for no problem at all. However, for the Wii game, only one game can be actually playing. I use the Wii backup manager to transfer files, but it looks like not all working and I don't know why. Here are the issues:

1. Loader GX detects the game, but the game has no animation at all, and only shows a black screen on the title. Once I click the game, the screen becomes black and goes back to the homebrew channel.

2. Some games ( like the Kirby in this picture) will go white screen and freeze, need to hard reset

3. I was using Pimp my Wii to fix the issues, however, it looks like turns out more issues, I also attach a photo.

I have been trying my best for almost 3 days and nothing happen. Please give me some ideas on where to fix it. Thanks a lot!

I can't say that I'm surprised to hear this.

Short answer: Use ModMii, it will probably solve your issue as painlessly as possible.

For the long answer, please post a Syscheck here so we can take a peek under the hood of your wii so to speak (note you can also open your syscheck using modmii and have it make recommendations for u)

i am not sure, since i am still new to wii system lol

i think the Wii console only brings me the headache at this moment. i never have any issues for other game consoles system

It does have MetaFortress but it's working in all 3 loaders according the the link I shared above, GX needs a manual tweak to its settings for it to work though

Its because u didn't use ModMii. It's like digital Tylenol, it will fix that headache of yours

I just did the syscheck on my Wii. sorry for the late reply just finish all work. here is the report. At first, I was using the syscheck, but it keeps freezing and I have to use the Syscheck HDE

Q for u. Do u play backup discs from the disc channel? Especially if the answer is no, I suggest u use modmii's syscheck updater on your syscheck to help u clean it up

well, this console is from my wife. what i know she told me they purchased a long time ago and already hack, they can read the burned DVD. they put in storage for a long long time until i try to see what happens lately.

To be honest, i don't know too much about wii. So you suggest i restart the entire modding process and using the Modmii, correct? I am not sure if PIMP MY WII doing that or not, i just no idea about those data lol. Please explain to me. Thanks a lot!

another thing, she told me the last guy back in her high school age and did something wrong and not able to read the game, except the official Nintendo copy. for me, i just using the USB drive to play games and not really care too much.

You can download and install ModMii, use it's main wizard, when asked if the console is a virgin you can lie through your teeth and say yes it is, it is safe to repeat the steps as if the console has never been modded before.

Alternatively you can drag and drop your syscheck onto ModMii.exe, or ModMiiSkin.exe, or a shortcut to either, and it will analyze it and tell you exactly what needs to be done to update your mod without repeating unnecessary steps. IIRC this procedure will not have you make a nand backup, but this is a good thing that you should do as well (and is covered in the main wizard I mentioned earlier)

Note that if you want to retain the functionality to play backup games from the disc channel, you will need to enable the force 249 on the disc channel Priiloader system menu hack when you get to that step. This is a much cleaner solution to permit most games to play from the disc channel, and it doesn't involve patching every single IOS on your Wii

edit: a big update is coming to ModMii in a few days, but for your purposes the current release should work fine. Just be aware that the USB Loaders that it currently downloads are not the latest versions
