Would anybody happen to know if it is possible to trick the system, or to simply say the user is pressing the A button without them pressing it?

Assuming you're installing Menuhax, that would be called tapping the bottom screen without any buttons pressed, which makes it think that nothing being held is the trigger and anything being held stops it.

No. I mean that I am creating an application an trying to get it to run without the user pressing anything.
