Ah, okay, thanks anyways!

I did see people updating "definitions.xml" files in the skinner tool to be able to work on editing the themes of specific unofficial builds...is that a thing I'd be able to find on your github?

If Universal Skinner adds support for all the extra icons that I have implemented in here, that would be dope.
Uh, as for definitions.xml, possibly.

game gear games won't save emulation settings, I can edit the gg.mb by hex editing, someone know where can I find bytes for gamma / scaling / region etc ?

Does it even need to add support? The icons are a singular bmp or does your skin use a secondary bitmap to include the new icons?

All of the new icons are separate in code, but in the ROM they may be right next to each other. I don't know for sure.

Uhhh, I don't know where the bytes are for those, you're gonna have to find them yourself, through source code or NO$GBA.

thanks, finally found something^''

@6909 gamma values
subsequent bytes are for scaling, sleep, region etc

Sooo I was pretty happy with this firmware, when all of a sudden GBA games were missing saves. I never turned it off for 10 secs after saving in game, so I don't know what happened.
I looked at the structure and apparently the system folder was majorly corrupted. I couldn't even open it on windows/mac. Running the "fix errors" thing on the sd card made a bunch of rec files. The system folder was no more at this point.
I had the save backup option on, so I copied all the saves, changed the .sav0 to .sav, and put it in a new system/savers folder.
Now, this worked for some saves, but all of the ones that are 32.8kb don't load! (assuming its sram?)
Is there any reason why this would happen?
Thank you!

Could you share some titles which had these broken 32.8 kb saves so it could be checked if it's systematic issue with the backup or just smashed SD.

Any one got photos of the custom UI with titles on screen and image so I can see what that looks like?

sounds like an improved save method

also if one moves SYSTEM to root of folder but not add anything does SAVER w saves still in root ? Cause seems like there’s a SAVER in SYSTEM but instructions say not to add ANYTHING so bit confused

--

is it easy to flash back to stock kernel if desired?

If your using this custom firmware and don't put all the system folders under "SYSTEM" it won't save or work right

The entire save file folder was moved to SYSTEM.

Yes. It is easy to roll back if desired.
