"Because unauthorized channels or firmware may impair game play or the Wii console, updating to Wii Menu version 4.3 will check for and automatically remove such unauthorized files".

People, Nintendo is trying to help us. Don't you see the honesty in their statement. In fact I going to update right now because I do believe in them. Nintendo is like the government, they never lie.

One step further... I have a renamed homebrew channel in a different id.. I could care less about this update.. Only because it overwrites cios and is worthless..

Hey has this 4.3 update affected Bootmii in any way. I am not going to update but I am curious to know what it affects on the wii.

Aw shit guys, it's real. I'm going tin foil hat on this one - disabling WiiConnect24, etc. Just in case.

Holy crap, I just looked at what it does. No updating to 4.3u at all, apparently! I don't think there could be a "safe" method of doing this.

Besides a new v5 for bootmii. Does it still load before the health screen the wii? Also did it affect backup loaders and regular original wii games?

If you have BootMii installed as boot2, and you are updated to "boot2v4," then yes, it would remain on the console, and boot at the very beginning. However, I'm guessing that if you still have "boot2v2" or "boot2v3," then it would update to the newest boot2 version and remove BootMii.

I don't know if it has done anything to the warez loaders.

Thanks for responding to my comments. But what I am mostly concerned about is if the update caused regular wii games from the disc channel to be corrupted. Has the updated affected this in any way or form?

Wii Error:004

The error code you received indicates the system is attempting to load unauthorized software. Unauthorized modifications to save data or program files may impair game play or the Wii console and should be removed.

LOL so its bannerbomb.

boot2v4....is this a new version of bootmii? I only have the original release of bootmii installed.

this is what i experienced

it seems like my drive with a chip wont even spin/eject/function on a 4.3u place it back to another wii and it works. it's a d2pro. d3-2 and d2b drive without modchip works with it. can anyone clarify this?

004 appears when loading banner bomb on sd icon.

i think bootmii as boot2 has been removed since can't load it now.

seems i need flash it back the hard way for me to downgrade..

There were already results for Sneek:
DI-menu doesn't work anymore and Shopping channel is removed.
Also when I tried to update on 4.3, the update downloaded something. After that the system menu gave me an error and wouldn't start.
