I'll send you a note with different colors per page, I think a non updated version will only see the different colors on the bottom screen.
I'll try to reply to a note with an image as well to test it out!

When I tried replying to a new note, there was a message from swapnote saying that not updated apps cannot view the new features like different colours per page.

It doesn't send anything personal, just if you send attachments a lot, sound clips, etc. They need to see how much people use certain things, so they can adjust the app later on. It should be completely anonymous.
