No, all the titles were previously announced, there wasn't a single annoncement
Eh, that's a real nitpicky technicality, in my opinion... the point is, they showcased for the first time a bunch of footage from 1st party games, regardless of whether they were announced before. Pikmin 3 was announced in 2008, and people still consider it the highlight of Nintendo's main conference.

At the 3DS conference, we had Castlevania 3D, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Illusion, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Poke'mon: Black/White 2, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and Fire Emblem. Granted, Pokemon is a DS title, and Epic Mickey, NSMB2, and Fire Emblem had footage showcased before, but that still leaves at least 2 big titles that had footage showcased for the first time (Luigi's Mansion and Paper Mario). I'm not sure how much more there was to ask... plus, we've recently got footage of other games on the eShop (Transformers Prime: The Game, for example). Plus we've had quite a few great games come out this year, thus far.

I can't speak for anyone else, but that left me largely satisfied. Anyway, back on topic...

The topic is a little dead, wait untill the release comes closer, then this will be getting more active
The thing is, all those games are good indeed
but there was nothing surprising or chocking for 3DS,
that made people rethink of buying the console
We had info about these games a long time ago
Luigi Mansion and Paper Mario are already late
If they showed something surprising like
Yoshi on NSMB, or DSi XL, or a new first party game for 3DS
like a new DKCR, or a Kirby, Metroid, Mother...

And who did it make rethink buying the console? I personally never heard of someone saying, "Darn it! I heard of these awesome unreleased titles MONTHS ago! I sure as hell don't want a 3DS now because I already know about these awesome games!" lol.

But I agree, I was really hoping for a new Metroid 3DS.

When I say about rethinking, I'm talking about
people that did not buy the console because there were no interesting games for him/her,
but with one or some announcements this person becames interested in buying one.

Hm... I'm guessing the 50 second time limit is from some challenge or "special world" mode? Pretty cool. The "10 second clock collecting" levels in the special worlds of SM3DL were my favorite.

Nintendo have annouced in the run up to New Super Mario Bros 2 the eshop will have a sale on 4 Mario titles over 4 weeks

Date Game Discount Price
July 26 - Aug. 1 Super Mario Bros. $3.99
Aug. 2 - Aug. 8 Super Mario Land $2.99
Aug. 9 - Aug. 15 Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins $2.99
Aug. 16 - Aug. 22 Mario's Picross $2.99

prices seem okay, I already have the 2 Mario Land games myself so the deal is wasted on me

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    at least on steam
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost

since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
