Hello everyone from GBAtemp. Here is a new hack coming from me (leonmuse on NSMBHD.NET site). I first posted the rom there because I thought posting it there was more appropriate than here, but then I thought here I can have more feedback.

Level Edition is the focus in this hack. No graphical changes in tiles, sprites or backgrounds are to be done. No audio modification either. I don't mind if one wants to use it as a base to his/her own hack, please do use it, no need to ask me for permission, although credits would be appreciated.
New DSuper Mario Bros., with the D, is not a typo, just a combination of DS with Super Mario Bros., hence DSuper.

The main goal when I started this hack was to change the original game into something more balanced (which means earlier levels a bit more puzzling/difficult and later levels not so hard as seen in original New Super Mario Bros.)
Expect great use of Pipe Cannon, small passageways for Smal Mario, good use for Shell Mario and the old and good SMB gameplay we all know and love.

*NOTE 1: The above link includes a patch (.nmp) file for NSMBe (the game's level editor). So, you have to import the patch into a rom through NSMBe.

Some stages in World 1 will resemble a lot their original counterparts present in the original game. At the time when I edited them i was still practicising and learning about the Editor and now i like the way they are. Also, I won't give any release dates for the final, complete hack. It's gonna be a long journey, as i'm going to start a new job.

I hope you enjoy it and see you guys soon!

Er... It doesn't look like you're much of a "hacker" if you used a level editing program...
That, or either you didn't put screenshots of the new code you implemented in the game.

Edit: I must say though, nice job on some levels.
