Hacking New DSi update mysterious

Want to download a mysterious update for your DSi? It's completely free, and we can't tell you what it does. I guess it can't be that important, since Nintendo hasn't made mention of the download! If anyone can figure out what this update does, please shoot me an email! Thanks to MrModestGreen for the heads up!

Well normally if you choose to update it normally says you DS is up to date if it's up to date. This time it actually downloads something, showing progress with the fancy bar. It's been confirmed on the Nintendo Tech Support forums.

It doesn't block flashcarts. I just tested an 1.4 updated AK2i.

Maybe it is just being prepared for an actual 1.5?

In any case, there's probably not much of a reason for me to update to it for the time being, I'm very happy with what I've got on my DSi. (
