There's a very high chance there will be a new DS released soon though. With the last two generation handheld Nintendo has released, they released a new version approximately every two years. The Game Boy Advance came out in 2001, SP in 2003 and GBM in 2005, the DS Phat came out in late 2003 and the DS Lite in early 2006. We are in the fifth year since the original, so it makes sense that one last redesign will come out before they begin to work on the next generation of handheld gaming. So I think we can hope to see one more redesign towards the end of the year, but it certainly wouldn't look like this one since it would be a flimsy POS and certainly not the one above me because then it would, technically, be a new gen handheld since newer games wouldn't work on the old models. We'll see.
