Hacking New DS colours!

Lime green looks nice.

Is the blue identical to the previously released Ice Blue in other countries?
I might be imagining things but i think it looks different...

Isn't nintendo going to put some crappy new firmware on it, that makes all of our flashcards unable to use on these new DSlites?

I don't think they would. Flashcarts themselves aren't illegal and they can be used for legal purposes.

That would be a pretty stupid reason not to try and circumvent them. Nintendo certainly doesn't care about any legitimate purpose a flashcart might serve.

The real issue is that they can't stop any carts from loading normally without preventing all carts (including retail game paks) from loading. They could come up with some new copy protection scheme, but that would mean that the old systems that don't support it are unable to play new games.

Can anyone confirm or deny that there are any internal differences in the new DS Lites?

I have bought a new red one, and it has fried two AceKards within four days.

I had used one of them in a silver DS Lite and it was working fine for over a month.


I have now had a SuperCard one in it for two days, and seems to be fine up to now.

Hopefully it is just a coincidence.

although all these designs are really cool, i would still buy a black lite if i were to get one. but i'm still very happy with my red phat i got w/ mkds.

God, the Red one looks great. I'd get one if I didn't have one, but I'm already content with what I have.
