Hacking new acekard doesn't load in XL

noob question here.

I just got acekard 2i, I loaded akaio 189 on it and when it's in the XL slot and I turn it on it says - nothing inserted in the game slot.
Is it defective card?
I can play legit games on the XL, no problems.

I also have older DS and DSTT card if that will help with any testing.

It has a contact issue. Google "TKsaturn paper trick" and you'll be good to go.
