Hacking New 3DS XL with New 2DS XL firmware

You won't believe this, but @Myria hacked a New 3DS XL to make it behave like a New 2DS XL. She then formatted the system by deleting a config savegame and recorded herself doing initial setup. The 3DS also had Luma3DS CFW installed during setup.

It's cool enough, especially considering the New 2DS XL is still not out yet in Europe and the Americas at this time of writing, but I still want to know how to do it.

I think she said she edited the cfg module so the system would think it was a new 2ds.

This shouldn't be too hard to replicate. Would just need to diff 11.4-11.5 cfg module, find the cfggetsystemmodel function and patch it to return 5 always.
