I took my New 3DS apart and took some pictures:
nice interesting chips used
Very interesting, thanks for sharing.
Yes this thread would get more attention if the name was NEW 3DS Disassembly
Looks a lot easier to take apart than the original 3DS. Thanks for the documentation!
you can just report your own post and ask nicely for a renaming :-)
Or you can spam the inbox of a moderator and #demand a renaming. #j/k
I absolutely low disassembly pictures. Especially of the new hardware ^^
Its a pity though that you havent taken apart everything (display and so on).
Id love to see if the Sharp is still the supplier for the LCDs.
Do you now get a quality Toshiba sdcard together with the 3ds or still a shitty Lexar made in Korea?
That was only with the XL the original one had a 2GB Toshiba SD
Yeah, I still have that same one. It's very slow, though.
Not the best place for the sd card
3dbrew reports a 4GB nand (up from 1GB)
Makes you wonder what Nintendo could be planning with the 3ds OS.
toshiba 4gb class 4
I'm sure they would have preferred an external slot but probably chose its current location out of concern for small children's safety. Anyway, the microSD managment software works really well (except for linux survivalists ofc )
Just wondering, what's wrong with Lexar? I haven't had any problems with mine and around here they seem to be sold primary for camera usage which would imply they are "premium" cards. This is the first I've heard of them being bad.
How much space does the current 3DS home menu take up?
Gamecard at the bottom.
That engineering, more pcbs than my computer. :-P
Wonder what does KTR stands for this time.
actually the thread already was renamed to "N3DS inside look" as the OP wished, he edited his post after the renaming :-) (edit: no wait, raulpica was the one, who edited the post after he renamed the thread)
your second renaming technically wasn't necessary
*hides before he can hit me*
Eh whatever, It sounds better this way. If he complains again ill change it
