I know the concept of racing monster trucks is probably "mainstream" already..

But there just SOMETHING out of place when they don't run in obstacle courses filled with cars to crush, ramps to jump off of, and civilians to eat! (I made that one up

)

Instead, this game offers *hit the objects* objects.. 3 view modes (press select).. a horn and a yell for L&R Buttons.. and most slippery "sand" I've ever driven on!

Obviously, I'm new to the franchise, but seriously i was expecting extra modes.. Other than this Monster KART Madness..

not bad of a game. same updated ATV Off Road graphic engine as Top Gear Rally. I wasn't a fan of Top Gear Rally (read my reasons in that thread if you wish).

This game was ment to be a fun race around kinda game... like ATV was... and they did that. This game is lots of fun. I probably won't play it past 1 or maybe 2 championships.

For those who did read my Top Gear Rally review... and are going if this is the same as that... why do you like this and not that. It's mainly because I beleive this game engine used suits arcade racing games like ATV and this game. I was expecting way more when playing Top Gear Rally, and espicaly not all cars on track racing... cause that ain't rally... but that maybe why I was even hesitant to try it because of what i saw with the tracks. But my point is... the engine works just fine for this game because of what it is... but not for top gear as that should have been a better simulation style racer.

Gambia, The
DjFIL: I also don't like Top Gear Rally that much because it's a normal racing game- no rally game. The N64 versions for example let all the cars run on the same track, but they started time-delayed and you didn't have to be the first, you only needed the fastest time.

KuRi: I still like Choro-Q Advance 2 the most because of the ability to get so many new parts for your car to upgrade it.

I played it on my Xbox and it's 733mhz, just to let you know, GBA's hardware runs @ 3Mhz. I also tried it on P4 2.4-B the framerate's same.
I am aware that an Xbox is 733mhz. My computer is 3.06 ghz and this game runs smooth. acuatlly so far I've yet to have a problem with any emu on my computer.

This game is crap. It doesn't have good framerate. Mostly 10fps. My eyes still hurt after 2 mins of gameplay. Play at your own risk.
try it on your cart or a faster computer.. sometimes poor framerate depends on where it is played.

Will I like it if I'm not much into Realistic Racing games, the only ones I actually like and play are the GT series. I LOVE Futuristic racing and Kart racers a lot though.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

    It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

    Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

    @SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

    anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

    if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
    still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
