I'm just answering here for a question Wiipower asked here

I patched the game to IOS249
I'm currently using Rev 13a
And used Neogamma r8 beta3

Metroid Prime 3 doesn't work ; there's a blue screen showing up after selecting the game with error 002 on it.

Finally someone tested it. I will do some test versions for you today. Let's see if i can fix 002 if the game was IOS Version patched.

Just for anybody interested, my test version failed too.

Sorry, currently i have no idea how to improve NeoGamma to fix 002 on IOS Reloading games that were IOS Version patched. There are 2 locations on the game disc, which IOS the game has to use. The 1st is the tmd, and is used by the disc channel to determine which IOS to load, and is also used by the IOS Reloading games when the IOS is reloaded in them(that's the one the IOS Version patcher patches). The other one is used to write the info which IOS is requested into the memory.

I fear that other info is loaded again into memory when the game loads another .dol and loads an IOS in that process. This is what i assume is happening when you select a game from the in-game-menu:
The game reads the info which IOS is requested and writes that into the proper memory location
The game looks up which IOS to load(tmd)
The game loads that IOS
The IOS writes into memory which IOS is loaded
The game loads the new .dol
The new .dol compares both memory values ==> 002 error

There are 2 "doable" solutions then:
1. patch 002 error in all .dols before burning, brr, i don't like that
2. find the other info, patch it to 249 too, nice solution

Sad thing is, i looked for that other info, but i did not find it. So if anybody finds the info that is written to 0x80003188 by the apploader, please tell. It's 2 bytes the IOS that is also specified in the tmd(the one the IOS Version patcher tells before patching). And 2 bytes the expected IOS revision, that's mostly the revision of that IOS that is on the update partition. Oh and this info is on ALL discs, no need to look at Metorid in particular.
For IOS55revision5555 it's for example 0x003715B3.

WiiPower, Why can't NeoGamma have the feature to install games from disc ?!?!

It's work.

QUOTE(TeenTin @ Oct 23 2009, 01:47 AM) How about the new ocarina ? Any progress ? Thanks.

It's inside, just not the .txt parsing that is required for Brawl+.

I guess you have the following options:

1) Do it yourself
2) Live with it

And it's not his fault that some people create Online-Cheats...gosh, think before talking

@WiiPower: Does that means it works for you? I tested it again with the NTSC-Version and the NTSC Brawl+ Files, still no Luck

. But it works with the original GeckoOS...

hi !
before, great work for neogamma
smile.gif

last week i have installed it (.wad) into my family, but i'ts too difficult for "older" users ....

do you think it's possible to hide the neogamma menu and how only when a button is pressed since neogamma launching ?
in my memory, backup launcher have the same "hidden menu".

just a problem, i don't know how you can store (without sd card/usb/...) the default choice (dvd in my case).
if you can't:

I have found a solution with 3 neogamma :
1) noob neogamma : when no sd card (and no ini file) is found, neogamma launch dvd game with all security on (and show menu when a button is pressed)
2) normal neogamma : when no sd card( ...) is found, neogamma launch the menu , and in the ini file, users can choose a default choice and show menu only with pressed key)
3) a .wad who create 3 channel with hidden menu (1 channel for dvd, 1 for usb,...)

i'm not here to say you how and what you will done, but i would like something into neogamma, so i explain all i have thinking =)

thanks

beta 4.

Added gameconfig.txt parsing, please test with Brawl+. The file is expected in the NeoGamma folder or the root of the sd card. Hmm, ok, next version will load it from the same device as Ocarina.

Changed 002 fix again. Please retest with IOS Version patched Metroid Prime Triology disc using cIOSrev13a(not b!).

Aehm, I'm sorry, but...

-I have gameconfig.txt in the Root of the SD-Card
-I used the VBI Hook
-I enabled Ocarina
-I used SD from cIOS and SD from IOS36 (all possible patches applied)

And I get the Error: Too many codes, and nothing get's applied. Still, thank you very much for taking time on this, and keep it going

From USB all games give me DVD Read Error (1183)
With usbloadergx when I click a game it exits to wiimenu.
This is strange because last time I played it worked perfectly.

That issue seems not to be NeoGamma R8 related. I guess you get the same with old NeoGammas as well?

I suppose so, I think the WBFS partition has crashed, I will try formating and installing a new game.

Woop, stupid bug in beta 4. It should now be able to read the gameconfig, before it did not have a chance to work.

Gosh...I realy don't know what's going on...this time I get a "Cheats applied" Message, but infact nothing gets applied (again I used the VBI Hook
with enabled Ocarina and SD from cIOS/SD from IOS36 (all possible patches applied)).

I looked, everything is in the right place on the SD-Card, no Files missing...sorry to bring again bad news
