Hacking NeoGamma only opens to black screen

I just modded my 4.2U Wii yesterday and it was working fine until I decided to add the Internet Channel and it asked me to update so I did and now if I try to open NeoGamma R8 (Both through HBC and the Channel on the WiiMenu) it just goes to a black screen and shuts off my Wiimote but leaves the Wii turned on.
Help?

You updated and lost all your cIOSs and other mods. Start over modding

Do I need to restore my NAND first or can I just do the steps on here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-g...ng-wii-faq.html all over again from the beginning
