Gaming Neo Geo DS Games

Hey, I am going to get Neo GeoDS and was wondering does it work on a flashcart or is it just an emulator.. If it works on a flascart What are the best games, Kinda fighting style, really any.. Maybe slot machine games, casino games, but mainly fighting.. Thanks.

So far there is NeoDS emulator for NeoGeo games

My choices are:
Metal Slug series
SNK v Capcom
KOF
Windjammers
Super Dodge Ball
Shock Trooper

You should also try samurai shodown, that is old school fighting as well.

BTW: Does anyone have a guide to setting up NeoDS on your DS. I tried last night but couldnt get anything to work except boot up NeoDS and couldnt find the games I downloaded.

EDIT: I did try searching for it but found no solution =/

It works on a flashcart.

I don't know of any slot machine games.....there may be some, but I don't play them.....

Best fighting games: King of Fighters 2002 far and away is the best. Samurai Shodown is good too. There are others, but those are my favorites.

Other good games include the Metal Slug series and the shmups.....Blazing Star, Pulstar, Viewpoint, etc.



All games must be converted to .neo files first. You have to take them from the latest MAME ROMs and run them through converter that comes with the NeoDS program. You will also have to have the neogeo.zip file for the BIOS.

A good place to get a nice BIOS hack that gives you cheats and whatnot is Universe BIOS. You can get that here:

This video uses a Cyclo DS but the steps are the same, the only difference is the flashcart. I think only MAME roms work. The txt file shows only "NeoDSConvert.exe bios1" when it should be "NeoDSConvert.exe -bios1" Very crucial and the video quality must have lost the dash. You will know what I mean when you get to it in the vid.

You need to download MAME roms. MAME roms are .bin format. If you have any more questions PM me.

The best fighter is like trying to work out the best rpg on SNES, but ill throw in one game that no one has mentioned yet and is regarded by lots in the neo community as the best "Garou : Mark of the Wolves", its a new take on the fatal fury series, only better

MAME emulates all different types of arcade machines... neods only emulates the neogeo arcade console...
its like a gaming console i don't think a snes emulator can run turbo grafx-16...

For some reason, the buttons aren't working well for me on KOF 02. Well, not that I liked 02 anyway, but I still want to play 00, and 03, and from the looks of it, it isn't working very well.

Open the zip file, if the files aren't .bin then right click it and delete. Not all mame roms have .bin. For example you can't play marvel vs capcom. Neods only emulates a couple processors of yesteryear arcade machines I think. I don't think neods is compatable with simpsons, but correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a compatability list but I can't seem to connect to boards.pocketheaven.com

EDIT: just checked the mame simpsons .zip file, the individual files are not .bin so simpsons wouldn't work.
