@Terraphantm

for uneek2o, the file need to be in the usb:/sneek folder.
be aware that neek2o doesn't allow homebrew to acces the harddisk. You can write your application for real nand and use the uneek_usb_fs wrapper for usb acces.
It's very easy to use.

Are you sure gamesaves become available again? I thought the uid.sys file was used to tell a game where it could find it's gamesaves.
I know an entry is automatically created if you launch a channel and the entry for it doesn't exist, but I thought it used a new location for it's gamesaves.

I wasn't going to delete the entries, but I just changed the first letter from the game id in the uid.sys file from a capital to a small letter.
If you launch the channel, neek2o will find the entry (even with the small starting letter) The system menu won't find that channel and won't use it's banner animation.

So, it works pretty much the same, but no new entry is created every time you launch the channel.

The channel will probably be hidden for the neek channelcache.bin as well, so it might fix the problem with 50+ nands some people are having.

I've been using this workaround for about 6 months or so as the last UNEEK-DI I had prior to NEEK2O wouldn't even startup with my big NAND. As soon as title is re-added I appear to get my saves back. Not sure if every single one has worked but I have yet to find a game where I absolutely know I had a save and it wasn't available. Could be one I've missed I guess but I doubt it.

The structure you use for wbfs games isn't supported. Also the wbfs games have to be on the partition that also contain the /sneek folder and emu nand(s) (which should be on the 1st partition)

The supported structures for wbfs files are:

/wbfs/GAMEID.wbfs
/wbfs/GAMEID_Game Name/GAMEID.wbfs
/wbfs/Game Name [GAMEID]/GAMEID.wbfs

It's your product so obviously up to you to decide what to support but I just thought I'd let you know that the file format /wbfs/title [gameID].wbfs is one of the standards used by Wii Backup Manager and is supported by all the cIOS loaders I've ever used inc. GX, CFG, WiiFLow etc. I think NEEK2O is out on it's own in not supporting it but of course that a decision for you and if code-space is tight then you're right that it is probably best used for real fixes which don't have simple naming convention workarounds on the users part.

I know the format is supported by these backup loaders also because I can almost dream the code of one of them. I also know the format isn't recommended. I'm not gonna or wanna make a discussion of it. We're just not gonna support formats were the name of the wbfs files self is other then GAMEID.wbfs

Also the last attempt obcd did to fix this format isn't enough to make the format fully supported.

The one thing I haven't tested yet are splitted games (.wbfs and .wbf1) It's still better if you only need to rename those than all of them.
If my last attempt isn't enough, than it would be helpfull to know why not?
I see no reason why I wouldn't fix it.

i'll test that tonight in like 20 min.. i just got mw3. an it's split in 2. :)

covers go in usb:/sneek/covers/.bmp (150x211)
at least ,thats where i put them and the size that works for me.

sorry i dont use a titles.txt, not sure about that.

Does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of games you can have in the wbfs folder? My Wii kept freezing a few seconds after the system menu loaded up, and I got it to stop freezing when I took out everything but one game. I had less than 50 games when it was freezing on me so I find this kind of weird.

titles.txt go in the sneek folder. The file will be deleted when diconfig.bin is created, and a new titlecfg.bin is created.

@Hielkenator

nothing has changed to the nand format. Even the nand used with uneek releases from before neek2o should still work.
Neek2o will just add a sneekcache folder to it, and dump the channelcache.bin file in there instead of the sneek folder.
That's the only difference. The sneekcache folder is created automatically, and so is the file.

No, it should only scan the games and wbfs folder the first time and create the diconfig.bin file.
Are you having this only with rev. 53, or haven't you tested it with rev. 50?
It's basically just a change of the kernel.bin and di.bin files.
All other files should be compatible.
i just tested it with r50 again. r50 doesnt have the long delay until the "press the a button" appears, like the newer revisions. but my nand is also on r50 pretty slow (for example i have to wait 10seconds until the health screen appears, i have to wait about 5-6 seconds until the screen switches from the wii messages back to the main screen). the time until the game appears in the disc channel is rather normal and the games do NOT have any noticable delay or lag either. but ive added my savegames to the nand, too.

another thing, epic mickey gives a savegame error on my pal nand. i dont have a savegame of the game and i already tried 2 different dumps of the game.

btw, it looks like crediar is back... check his twitter and sneeks googlecode page.

edit: something that appeared for me, is that sometimes when i start a game, it ends in drive blinking.

Fixed links for ModMii

Hmmm.. I don't have the save game issue with Epic Mickey PAL on my normal setup, but I've simular issues when I use one of my hdd that spins down and the modules can't access it fast enough

mw3 worked fine in neek2o, havent updated since release, this was unscrubbed(or what ever), it was a strait dump, from retail. so it came out a little over 4gb. sorry for late update got caught up playing co-op online with my older son.( no problems for me to get online, like mentioned in a couple of post). an since mine is running near perfec,(all channels filled with my wiiware/vc games) i will not update( don't care if there is a 5-6 sec delay, never noticed). thanks again overjoy/obcd.
