I would like to recover data from an unallocated external hard drive? My previously drive was G. Somehow it become an unallocated by accident. It is 4TB External Hard Drive and I have about 3TB in it. I dont want to do it all over again. How can I repair it and bring it back to normal with everything in it ?

I cannot mount it because when I click the unallociate and see if "change Disk Letter and path" is there. Nothing is there.

I jalways plug external hard drive on my windows 11 all the time as usually. Somehow my laptop crashes while external hard drive was running. So I turn it back on and now drive G disappear on "MY PC" and become unallocated!

Probably have to try data recovery software, if your computer lost power during a write process to the drive, it could cause some data to become corrupted and the partition deleted.

I know about the data recovery software but you have to pay for full version to do that. Only demo allowed you do it up to 2 GB.

1) Does the trial mode software still show data?
2) Have you tried something like recuva free?
https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva

Note: I'm presuming OP is against piracy given they haven't just done this.

Yes, I have seen those lists but to extract them and put in the desktop allowed up to 2gb and if you want more.. Pay the full pro version, oh well.

Recuva Pro is possibly but not Recuva Free Version. I dont think so.

Oh boy I am getting nuts!
