I did everything:
-Homebrew channel on vWii
-installed Nintendont
-got some games (Sonic Heroes and Smash Bros in this case)

The only controller I have available to use is the official Nintendo Classic Controller. I can navigate the whole system, the homebrew channel, and the menus in Nintendont. After I load a game the controller doesn't respond. Neither the Wii Remote the Classic controller. How do I get the classic controller working?

You never answered my question. Is it a genuine wii remote?

Also what lights are on on the wii remote?

Wii remote is 3rd party. But why would everything else work on it in the menus if the Wii remote itself isn't supported?

lol yeah, its a preety big issue every 3rd party/ fake controller has its own code, nintendont doesnt have the specific codes for every crap ever made, nintenedont hadded some old CC 3rd party codes that were laying around but yeah its very hard to support every fake/3rd party controller ever made so your always better off with an official one, get a cheap official one on ebay or something used, just make sure it says official tough, or if you have a wii with gc ports get a gc controller.

Calm down, if you had actually taken the time to do research you would have found that most homebrew doesnt work with third party controllers.

I found and interpreted them as 3rd party extension controllers. I didn't see anything about any specific type of Wii remote.

They work with all official software - there's no reason why someone should expect homebrew would be any different. It's not like NES through Gamecube homebrew have trouble with 3rd party controllers.

Glad you got it sorted OP
