Hi, I'm new here, but I've been doing homebrew for a while. I recently just installed Nintendont on my Wii U's vWii, and got Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 running fine. What I'm concerned with now is potentially setting up more traditional Mario Kart controls for the game.

I understand the gas and brake pedals were analog on the Triforce arcade board, and the easiest way to map the analog functionality of the gas and brake to a GCN controller or Wii Classic controller is to map them to the L and R buttons, but would it be possible to change acceleration to the A button with R being drift?

Items are also set to the A button, Which is another choice which I don't like too much, it almost makes the game feel like a weird hybrid of Super Mario Kart and a racing sim with how its controls are. Maybe it'd be more natural if I played Gran Turismo or Forza or whatever racing sims actually use the triggers as pedals, but Idk. If items could be set to X, gas on A and brake on R, it'd be much easier to adjust.

I have played the game on Dolphin while using more traditional Mario Kart controls, so if someone could help me here, I'd appreciate it.

@Sicklyboy, how bad is it to buy a refurbished ups
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv3, not bad at all, just make sure it comes with new batteries or else you'll have to put new ones in it yourself (not hard)

Doubt it, I had a tiny cheap cyberpower one a few years ago and that one wasn't

Waiting for the NUC 14 essential to become available here 🤔

What's the best NUC to get as a first NUC, as a NUC noob. I want one that I can have always on - run a monitoring server and some home automation stuff - as well as possibly doing some devving by connecting to it through SSH
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
You honestly don't really need anything that powerful for that imo an old 2010 laptop could do it
  • Minox @ Minox:
@Issac I'd argue the NUC 14 essential is a good compromise for speed, price and low power usage
  • Issac @ Issac:
mhmm, mhmm... Most important for me, in that case, would be silent, power efficient, and form factor.
  • Minox @ Minox:
That's at least why I want to get it
  • Issac @ Issac:
    Oh nice @Minox

2000~3500 sek depending on what model you want
  • Minox @ Minox:
Only needs RAM + SSD on top of that

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
make all the panels out of steel but make the actual structural component out of aluminium, genius
