Hey guys, I have an old tablet collecting dust for months now. I want to use it again but I disco ered t won't turn on. I removed the back panel and I saw that the ribbon cables aren't properly connected. After searching on the internet, I've been advised to remove the ribbon cables and then connect them properly. I've disconnected them but I don't know how to connect them properly. How do I know if they are connected properly? Thanks in advance

Did you just yank those ribbon cables out of the sockets?

Without clear close up pictures of each socket, it won't be possible to
provide a definitive explanation on how to operate them since there are
many different types. However, it is possible to provide a general
description of how they work and maybe you can work it out from there.

The socket is usually composed of two parts, the light colored part and
the dark colored part. The light part is the slot that the ribbon cable is
inserted into which allows it to make contact with the pins. The dark part
is the clamp that locks the ribbon cable into place so that the cable
doesn't move or become disconnected.
Ensure that you know how the clamp operates before doing anything
and be careful of applying to much pressure or handling the cable or
socket to roughly. After that, it's fairly easy.

Make sure that the clamp is disengaged, insert the cable into the slot,
then engage the clamp.

thanks for the reply. I took close-up shots of the sockets.
