read the rules i put for naming the covers. it says how to name them, what size to make them, and where to put them.

Just to check, would my best bet in having more than 700 roms be to remove all of them from the drive and then add all of the ones I definitely want displayed in the wall first and then dump the remainder on afterward?
You mentioned something about it displaying them chronologically, so I was thinking that might be the best way to go.

i think 3d is a good idea... but not for this project. the fake 3d boxes only work for 1 perspective. this cover wall tries to warp the covers for multiple perspectives. so you end up with a picture of a box that looks like it is slanted right and you are trying to make it look slanted left and you end up with shit. it can be seen when using the fake 3d boxes in usb loader GX.

This is a great project - I've done about 1/3 of my roms with images now and they look great. Even the wife (who isn't really thrilled with the hacking of the Wii) thinks it looks slick. I can't wait for the NES version

I mostly wanted to post to share this program:
http://download.cnet.com/Imagicon/3000-2192_4-10438569.html

It's called Imagicon - a freeware batch image converter. Basically you can set it up to output png files in the exact resolution needed for this and then just drag all your jpg covers to the program and it automatically flips them for you. It worked great for me to get everything in the right format for this.

Is there a way to add this working gui emulator with the one that can be install in usbloader? Also is there a way to make the emulator get the games and disc art from a dvd. So you dont have to use an sd card or hdd. You isntall it the a usbloader like a regular wii game/

i don't think the emulators will work out to well with the wiiflow set up. currently wiiflow sets aside a bunch of memory aside for storing covers and such. then it frees all that memory when a game is played. these emulators set aside memory at the start for the emulator and for the gui. so the available memory for running the coverflow will be cut in half. because when returning from a game, there still will need to be memory set aside for the gui. if somebody can fix the coverflow setup to work with only the aailable memory, it is possible to make it work. but this coverwall is much less wark, since it uses the same framework library the tantric was already using and runs easily within the allotted memory.

Prehaps an easier alternative would be to edit the emulators to accept a filename argument, and then use a custom made ISO with a forward for each game in WiiFlow

Yeah I do see what you mean about the filesize increasing. However, I am currently in the process of editing WiiFlow to scan directories for rom files and add them to the games list. Currently got the games showing up on the coverflow, just need it to boot up an edited emulator with the roms filepath as an argument.

I suppose there is no real need for this, but my family tend to find it confusing knowing which application to run to start certain games and thought something like this would simplify things.

I'm having trouble with this build recognizing my usb hdd. just comes up usb hardddrive not found. the drive is set up with a 200gig wbfs partition and a 30gig fat32. works fine for wiiflow (with covers and everything stored on the fat32 partition), triiforce mrc and everything else, just snes9xgx cant find it =\

any advice?

is pretty annoying as i only have a 1gig sd card for my wii, so would much prefer to store the roms on a usb drive. the images are fine to store on the sd though.

anyone?

The latest builds of Tantric's emulators do not properly read from USB when loaded via forwarder.
