I'll check it out. Your mentioned site is though a no-go since it uses PayPal which is on my ban list ( they stole money from me... never again >.=.< ).

It wasn't PAYPAL's fault most likely, grow up. And get a DSTT for 7 bucks.

I've had so many problems with paypal myself so yes, it was paypal's fault.

I know also of a person having 1000 on his PP and suddenly they just shut down the account stealing all the money stored in there. And he had done no illegal things at all. There are tons of such scamming PP has done up to date but people still think it's the holy grail ( informations through people once working at PP knowing the internals ). Never use it if you can avoid it.

Do you have any real, non-anecdotal, proof that paypal has ever stolen anything from anyone?

if not, shut it, paypal works just fine and is very useful when it comes to online payment.

I'd rather pay through a company that I could easily sue than through the website itself with sketchy ownership details.

IN SHORT:
Paypal mistake: high chance of being refunded.
some website mistake: zero chance of that.

I've never had a problem with PayPal, I've ordered countless things from stores that use paypal like Amazon and even eBay, I even bought my R4DS through PayPal. But if your really in doubt, Find a store that uses Google Checkout. IMHO You just had a bad stroke of luck. Also there's always the chance that the payment got intercepted by some hacker
