Right a bit of a breakthrough.

Your card is a clone.

IT also looks like your card was cloned by www.r4isdhc.com.( go down this list and look for your website next to a R4 card and you will find it shares it's kernel with th www.r4sdhc.com card)

The good news is this means that you can use RGF multicard update. Download the update from http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=24939 and just copy files from R4SDHC folder.

If there is no firmware compatibly with your cart, than simply get a new one.
Your cart is probably really old if its from 2007.
I would recommend an Acekard2i or a Supercard DSTwo.

I took a look at the website but I am not sure which card my R4 is exactly.

1. That's kinda what i'm trying to avoid
2. If my r4 worked for years then surely it can be made to work again. All I did to make it not work was change some files around so if I find the right files can't it work again? It worked two weeks ago.

So sorry that it took me so long to respond but I did manage to get it to work using the panasonic sd formatter with the sdhc files.

Yes, it's a R4i SDHC clone.

Either it is a clone of the R4SDHC or the R4SDHC is a clone of it (given the track record of R4SDHC then I personally would say the latter).

IF I was you I'd download a copy of the last official kernel for your card from here and also keep a copy of RGF kernel (just keep the R4SDHC folder so you don't get confused) and just keep on updating when RGF updates his superb kernel.
