i tried to put new skins on my daughters ds but get a message saying wrong format (bitmap) any ideas anyone please

Did u download the R4 skins..??

First of all, go to _system_ on the root of your microsd
Make a folder called themes
Make 12 folders inside (only twelve) and label them

theme01
theme02
...
...
theme12

In one of the theme folders, put the files you downloaded in here.. (logo, bckrd1, bckrd2 and icons)

You can fill all of these folders up, but no more than 12, (I dont know why) Has something to do with the months..

Boot up your r4 to the main screen and press select.. Ta Da!!

It should work..

But make sure you get R4 or M3 Simply skins..

also they have to be .bmp format

and if you just want one theme you just go to _system_ and put them in there but if you want multiple themes just follow curlys directions

Hey.

First of all, this is my first post on this forum!

Second of all, I just started to get interested in getting more out of my R4. I jst got new skins and think thats already cool.

Now, my question is: can you fix your own photos as a skin on the R4?

I fixed the files as a Bitmap file, and tried to give it a name like 'logo' or bckgrnd_1.

Yet, this doesnt work. Can someone tell me how to do this?
