So , has this been worked out for use with original r4? Look like it has considering most of the references to the R4 except the
"Flashcards incompatible, but to be compatible in the future:
Original R4 (Non-SDHC, 2GB or less)
M3 Simply (Non-SDHC, 2GB or less)"

So when trying to launch a Professor Layton: The Last Spectre backup I get the "rom loading failed load rom errcode=-4" error

It's there any way to fix that, since the game from my flashcard OS starts up fine?

Is it a patched ROM? Make sure you're using a clean ROM.

Tried with both clean and patched, both give me the same error.

I did undub both roms tho, so maybe that's the problem?

Without an Acekard Stage2 launcher, it won't work.

When you see the "Menu?" screen, it means the card is compatible, but missing the .DAT file(s). When it's just white screens, it means the card is incompatible.

A Stage2 Launcher for the card doesn't exist yet, so no.

A new version of Forwarder3-DS is now up in the OP. This once again, should fix support for the original R4. M3 Simply users, use the original R4 option for your forwarders.
Ignore the update prompt, because it hasn't been pushed to the update channel yet. If it's pushed to the update channel, @Olmectron should release a .EXE version, and I'll add that to the OP as well.
