I just woke up about an hour ago, which means that I slept for about 15 hours last night... I feel great and I'm really glad that state testing means that seniors don't have school.

Currently eating chicken noodle soup. I added some celery, parsley, salt, pepper, onions and garlic and it's wonderful. I've got nothing to do today because I woke up so damned late so I'm just gonna sit here and surf the net.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

my friend did 26 hours once. but thats because he came back from lebanon when there was all those bombings and shit and he didn't sleep for four days.

but really though, how do you guys feel great after sleeping that long? ive done 13-14 hours about twice in the past month and i felt terrible. i had a huge headache, i was really grumpy and i felt guilty wasting a whole day when i could have been studying for my mid year exams. i always feel much better when i take a shower right before i sleep and have only 8-9 hours sleep.

Because we're better than you.

QUOTE(Rydian @ Apr 13 2010, 08:38 PM) I hate falling asleep during the day, I always wake up with this icky "nap" taste in my mouth that won't go away.

I can't stand that feeling. But when you fall asleep in your bed at night, it never happenes... I wonder why.

I blame elves that far in people's mouths during the day.

Napping becomes inevitable past 40.

I wake at 6 regardless of sleep quality. By 4 in the afternoon I have likely used any viable energy to do anything significant.

No nap means likely you can forget getting much use out of me past 8.

Then again, often if I nap at 4-6, my body just decides 'you didn't need this evening did you?' and I never actually get up again before bed.

Yeah, why isn't this in blogs?

But I try not to nap in the day. It always seems weird when I wake up later and it's whatever time it is.

when I came back from a day trip to London, I slept from 6am until 9am the next day

I can never nap during the day, even if i'm really tired. Usually i'm like awake, then start to feel tired when i get to school, and then all of a sudden i've got all my energy back. It's really kinda strange.

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
