Hardware NAND writing taking forever?

Okay, hey, hi everyone, I'm finally making a post again after a while of doing this, thought I'd just ask. I'm doing some hardmods and I always successfully get it all soldered and i get the bootrom error, as expected. However, when the computer detects the NAND and I start to write the NAND into it, it just takes like 5 million years to complete and still never does. Any idea what might be the case? I'm doing this on a Mac, if that helps.

Show pictures of the hardmod if you can and a detailed report of EVERYTHING(The card reader, what you did to console, what DAT lines in use, etc....)
