So, my Wii was hacked with homebrew, bootmii, priiloader and all the good stuff. (I wasn't the one to do it) It was working fine, but the only exception was you couldn't access the mii channel, so games that used Miis (Ex. MKWii) were unplayable.
After that, the whole Wii menu was inaccessible, the prompt to "press A" at the safety screen would never pop up, and I had to do everything through Boot Mii.
After THAT, a new problem with turning on the Wii arose. The Wii could turn on, but it would just be a black screen. Occasionally, the Wii disc slot with flash blue, and on even rarer occasions, the Safety screen would pop up (Still no "Press A" prompt though).

So I've resorted to trying to restore my Wii with the help of a YouTube video. I put my SD card in the computer and the Keys.bin is there, the NAND.bin is there, and the BootMii folder is there. The only problem is I can't move (or do anything) with the NAND.bin, I get this message: [IMG]
I heard of this guy getting a nand.bin from another wii and manually fixing it to fit the Bricked Wii's standards, and another guy using a program to make his OWN nand.bin, (or something like that) but I don't have the skills to do either. Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix my Wii?

Well I followed a YouTube video and got my bootmii back running and backed up the nand. But for me to complete the guide I have to have bootmii installed as boot2? What does that even mean?

This means: If when you turn on your wii you see the bootmii screen directly without doing nothing or the disc slot flashes 2 followed times you can use a nand.bin backed up before the whole shit happens without problems.
But, if not, your wii it's not capable of restoring back the nand, and so, less choices.
I really think someone will explain better than me but i think you got a idea of what i'm talking about.

Well it goes directly to bootmii when the Wii is turned on and the SD card is in, but now if I go to the Homebrew Channel or Wii Menu from there, I just get a black screen. I tried restoring my Wii with this thing a guide on here gave me, but it gets stuck on installing one of the .wad files. What do I do? D:

This is what I get stuck on, but do I even need to do this? I have all the files that were on my SD card on a folder in my computer, I just get a black screen when I try to go to Homebrew or Wii Menu

Seriously, Youtube videos are really a bad way to follow,
if your wii still boot in bootmii and you have a boot2 i recommend using the bootmii nand restore with your previously backed up nand.bin, but if he really got corrupted, dump only the keys and create a clean nand with ohneschwanzenegger (It's really the name of the app )

My original nand was corrupted and had to get deleted by formatting my SD card. But aside from that nand, I have all the other original Wii files on my computer.
The video essentially made me start with a fresh SD card and gave me some downloads and a nand formatter. So I guess I essentially have a new nand?

http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii...formatter-completely-re-install-your-wii.html By the way, this is the guide I am using. I get stuck at "The formatter will now display the serial number it read from within the setting.txt on the sd card, confirm this is correct and then press A and installation will start." And it freezes on the picture shown above. Also, I DO have bootmii installed as boot2 "because the Wii says I do", so what can I do from here?

If you got a working nand.bin file from your bricked wii before this heappens you can easily restore him using bootmii options and you will get a fully working wii again,
BUT, if not, according to wiibrew, you must make a wii nand bakcup (even bricked) with bootmii to make ohneschwanzenegger get the info from your system and create a new backup based on bricked nand.bin

Edit: I got a video of how restoremii works, just to you have idea, but first you need:
Bootmii folder on SD card with all necessary files (if i recal correctly it's armboot.bin)
and a nand.bin file (512mb aprox.) in root of SD, so follow the process of the video:

How would I go about using this (ridiculously named program)?

First move or delete all the old nands from sd, so turn on wii and at bootmii screen go to the gear option and the first one from the left to right, so let him do a backup and go to pc, google it his name and download him (Wiibrew) and the dll files, put in a folder with nand.bin backup you made ago and run it, so go to nand dump tab and choose new nand option.
So click on the big button called "existing nand", choose destination and give a ok, wait the process done.
When everything is 100%, in the first big box in the program, add the number "000000010000050" (ios 80), delete everything from the smaller box with a "v" close to him and press get it! to make him download the necessary ios.
And to finish use bootmii to restore the nand.

It's not so hard if you stop to look it.

Edit: I just need to advise i can't guarantee 100% working of that, but if you got bootmii@Boot2 and don't have any nand.bin backup to restore this is your best shot by now.

Thank you so much :D, I used the ohneschwanzenegger to make my nand a 4.1U and used RestoreMii. Then, I put my old SD card contents (Homebrew apps and stuff) back on the SD card.
BootMii still loads up and I can access my Wii Menu from there, but I still have some problems.

I can't load homebrew through BootMii, I have to go to the Wii Menu, and go to the Homebrew channel from there. (And I get an error sometimes)
Games choose when an from not to work from USBLoader.
Occasionally when I try loading the Homebrew channel, I get this: [IMG]Any ideas of what to do from here?

Sounds like a hardware issue rather than software. Something is probably failing in the Wii. If this is the case, there isn't really much you can do, just enjoy it while it still (partially) works.

I recommend reinstalling both homebrew channel and bootmii, they really sem related and if you can't boot hbc through him something is very wrong with both.

Alright, later when I have a copy of brawl, I'll delete homebrew off my wii, format my SD card and use the hackmii pack with smash stack and see if that makes everything run smoothly.
Thanks for all your help :D, REALLY!
