I’m having trouble with the DK64 camera problem workaround. Here’s what’s been posted:
1 Start ROM
2 Turn FBEmu On
3 Set RDRAM Depth stuff: Software (fromMem does not work)
4 Close ROM & start ROM again
5 Get ingame
6 Do a Savestate
7 Turn FBEmuoff, RDRAM stuff back or whatever
8 Close ROM & start ROM again
9 Load Savestate
10 Stays fixed whenever u load that savestate
I assume step 2 is to set Framerate Buffer Emulation to “true”, right?
I’m getting to step 5, and when I try to start a new game after changing those two settings it always freezes on a black screen. Without changing those two settings I can get in game fine, but of course with the camera issues.
Figured it out! Steps 3 and 5 are unnecessary. FromMem does work and has nothing to do with it, and you don’t have to get “in game”. Just starting the ROM is good enough.
I have two more questions.
1) Is Banjo Tooie running slow as Christmas and buggy for everyone else or just me?
2) Doubutsu no Mori (Animal Crossing/Animal Forest) largely runs fine, but with m4xw's global config recommendations, the items menus and map show up as just a black screen. Changing Frame Buffer Emulation to true makes it so you can see and use the menus, but they're a flashy/blinky mess. Changing 16:9/16:9 adjusted/4:3 doesn't affect this. Any ideas how to fix this?
the issue with animal forest is a tough one oddly does not happen to japaneese version but i have confirmed on both switch and pc retroarch has a black screen there project 64 does not but my attempts to convert save file have been fruitless truly beautiful game what a shame

Doubutsu no Mori (Japan) name for animal forest works perfectly for me i am featuring it in tonights stream
for those with sxos you must use hekate and you should use atmosphere or kosmos cfw. retroarch nsp no work. homebrew nsp no work. must be an eshop title that has been added to loader.ini in atmosphere folder. No other supported way. If you want quality like this
Thats what i did

Can you explain further? Also what English patch are you using?
Want to play this aswell in English! Thanks!
yeah can you explain how you fixed that do you mean n54 settings in the switch or the actual switch settings? i too am confused
edit omg setting clock to 12 fixed it!!! ur a genius! games plays 60fps for me btw
Set switch clock (settings-> date and time) push it back to 1/1/2001 and set time to 12:00pm. Seems to be an issue with how the games internal clock works with the English patch. So what did you do? Set the Switch clock to 1/1/01 12:00?
Can you change it back or do you have to leave it?

Kind of a lame work around unless you can change the actual time in Retroarch?
Talk about first world problems “I have to change my clock to play a game” lol the future sure is weirdSeems a high price to pay to have both the Switch and the game’s clocks to be wildly inaccurate.
I can't believe people still use the term "first world problems" unironically.Talk about first world problems “I have to change my clock to play a game” lol the future sure is weird
How did you fix the black screen for the pause menu?yeah can you explain how you fixed that do you mean n54 settings in the switch or the actual switch settings? i too am confused

How did you fix the black screen for the pause menu?
Are you copying over an old retroarch.cfg file to the new installation? I was doing this and kept getting the XMB menu rather than Ozone. I didn't realize that Ozone existed until I forgot to copy over the retroarch.cfg one time.2nd question: Do you know why Ozone menu has never shown up as an option for me in the driver menu? I've used various builds of Switch retroarch over the past few months and I've been stuck with xmb. I always delete previous installations of retroarch before installing new ones and I always copy all of the files over.
did u disable framebuffer emulationSo I have the core and dynarec enabled but games still play like shit.....dont seem to be improved at all.
Help?
