With the latest build of 3DeSmume @shutterbug2000 added a rom selector and a conf file for all games so that you can define a jit size for each individual rom since all games allow a different maximum size.

For example Starfy's max size can be 45 whilst Mario Party's can only be 41. So having a config for each game will allow us to optimize each game.

All roms and configs will now go in sd:/nds/ if you need the newest build of 3DeSmume it can be found here

For those that would like to share config files they need to be in the following format. If you upload a file please tag me and I will add it to a spoiler at the bottom of this thread

Name: game.nds.conf
Contents: Jit Block Size

Here is an example of one I did for Mario Party(attached below)

NOTE: YOUR ROMS NEED TO HAVE THE SAME NAME AS THE GAME.NDS IN THE CONFIGS NAME OR IT WON'T WORK

Please download one of the configs I uploaded and rename it to work with your rom and changing it to 12 for now. That will be fixed in the next update

You can only use up to 30 roms with the rom selector atm anyway

For what game? Mario Party? Make sure you have the rom and config named correctly. The names much match

Unfortunately it's a bit of guesswork currently since each game has a different max size. The PC version of Desmume uses 100 as its max but no DS game will work with that. I recommend starting at 40 and working your way up by 5's that is what i've been doing and it's been working well.

I don't understand... Are you going to improve the overall speed and quality of the emulator or are you going to "fix" games 1 by 1 separately just so they play better? What's the point of that?

I'm under the impression we're testing our games to verify that the JIT is working and effective

The speed and quality of the emulator is improving. Just look at the last update video. This config is just so that we can fine tune and optimize specific games. This is completely optional and not required at all.
