I went to http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/download.htm and 'Download' link (not the button on the right). I have 7 Zip so I dragged Moonshell, NDSGBA, and ds_two into the microSD card. Then I put a game. I then turned on my DS, entered the DSTwo, pressed DS_Game and selected a game and it played perfectly.

This is my first flashcart and from a lot of guides online I thought it was going to be very frustrating and confusing but I did it easily. I'm just wondering if perhaps I may have missed something? Is what I did perfectly alright to ensure no damage to the flashcart or system?

Also what does it mean to "flash a DS"? Does DSTwo do that? I heard that voids the warranty.

And can I just shut off the system like with normal games? or is there a process to exit the DSTwo before I shut down everything?

When there's a firmware update, how do I do that? Just replace the ds_two file? Like if I were to go back and click on that button at http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/download.htm for the most recent EOS, would all I have to do to get it updated is remove the one currently in my microSD card and replace it with the new one?

If I just turn off the game, I notice 'sav' files appear in the microSD card. Does that mean the games remain where I turned them off at? Can I get into those files or should I just delete them?

you don't flash the DS, "flash" usually means upgrading a cart's firmware. In the case of the DSTWO it is not needed. latest firmware for the DSTWO is 1.05
NOTE: fimware and EOS is two different thing

You only need to exit the GBA and maybe the SNES before shutting off, if you don't you will lose your in game save, unless you're using real time save
But for NDS games, you can shut off when ever you like

Yes, just copy and replace old (_dstwo folder)

Thanks. I tried doing as much research as possible before making my decision to get the DSTwo. I got it from Real Hot Stuff. Originally I was gonna get an R4 but I heard they're now all clones, even from there.

yep, even the ones that can use WOOD are 1:1 clones
You should check out our DS2 plugin thread

There's also a great DS2 skin thread too

Thanks. Right now I'm just paranoid so I don't want to tinker around with the other features just yet. I'm using it just to play games for now to make sure my DS doesn't burn out or something.

To answer your question about the .sav file:

No, it does NOT record every single thing you do so you can resume at the exact same point. The .sav file just houses your in-game save and is automatically created when you first boot up the game.

What DOES record every single thing you do so you can resume at the exact same point is Real Time Save, or RTS, or Save States. You can check em out in the In Game Menu.
