Have you tried letting it completely dry out, before plugging it back in?

Anywho, another PS2 motherboard should be cheap enough to pick up... have a look on ebay. Failing that buy a whole machine with a faulty laser and salvage the motherboard from that.

Yea siblings can be a pain. My younger brothers had broke mine because they were fighting over it then while they were tugging the controller they tugged my ps2 right off the table onto the floor

. I had to wait an entire year until i could finally get a new system which was my wii. For that entire year i just played DS games.

Screw the 360 Im saving my PS2 games since I'm getting a PS3. My friend is getting a 360 though.

I figured voiding PS3 warranty just to play a few PS2 backup games doesn't do justice for me, so I bought PS2 games used. It was like 5 PS2 games for the price of 1.5 PS3 games.
