Hacking My Plan: Make my Wii a Virgin

I want to make my Wii a Virgin and start again with Homebrew. I have BootMii installed into Boot2, so I´m safe. This is my plan:

[_First NandDump_Current State]
1. Run cIOS Downgrader -> 3.2
2. Delete all IOS / Tickets used by 4.0 / Games
3. Make a Format to get rid of Message Board/some other things (Question: When I make a Format, can I restore my old NAND again or is that impossible? Is the Format changing the Keys/whatever of the Wii, so that I´m unable to restore?)
[_Second Nand Dump_Virgin 3.2]
4. Update trought Nintendo to 4.0
[_Third NandDump_Virgin 4.0]
6. Run IOS Downgrader
7. Install Homebrewchannel
[_fourth NandDump_Perfect System]

Can I do these things? The format bothers me...BootMii is checking something before Restore, right? Is that changed by this step?

Format wont remove all the cios and stuff, Will delete channels but it leaves muck behind.

Your steps should be correct.

And after a format you will be able to restore a NAND dump that works, I do it all the time.
