my avatar wont show up, all i get is a small picture of some shapes in a small box. what have i done wrong?

You can't link files on your PC, you need to upload it and then use that link.

Like the guy ahead of be said, just find a site like photobucket to host the image and then just link it from there. Wow, eleven days ago?
