Aw I love ducks, they are my favorite animal. I always wanted a pet duckling ever since I was a child. I hope she does well and will pray for her. I couldn't imagine losing one myself and find it saddening that some people eat them

Originally, she was bought for my mom, but Cocoa didn't like my mom very much and cried all night when I wasn't with her. XD

Oi. Same here. I think it's just terrible. They're also not good to eat, because they're extra greasy, at least that's what I heard.

Oh my gosh, I love Ducktales. >XD I watched it when I could when it was on the Disney Channel.

QUOTE(Blood Fetish @ Mar 23 2011, 06:25 PM) If you have to take her to a doctor, make sure they aren't a quack.

edit: Get them to put it on your bill.

PFFF-- Good one, good one. >XD

How is having a pet duck like?

Does it quack as much as my senile bird squaks does?

Well, now that she's not feeling all that good, she doesn't do it as much as she used to. But when she was younger. Oi. she just would not listen when told to stop and be quiet.

Status update guys: She's quacking a lot more than she used to now, and she's getting her figure back, slowly but surely. She can also walk again! 8D I put her down on the kitchen floor and she just walked every where and almost followed me into my brother's room. Needless to say, she's still a little unbalanced, but she'll get better in time. Thank you all so much for your prayers! I believe she wouldn't have gotten this far without them. Thank you.

I'm relieved that your duck's health is going back to normal. Take a lots and lots of care for it so it's health is maintained.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
